Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning Discs offer a more compact structure of non-woven fibers compared to Buff & Blend products. These discs feature a woven fabric (scrim) embedded in the nylon structure, providing added strength and durability. This unique design extends the lifespan of the disc, making it ideal for use on ferrous materials that require precise finishing. The tough woven fabric delivers a combination of durability, flexibility, and excellent cut rate.

Mixed Materials

Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning RC Discs are crafted from a tough and flexible nylon mesh that conforms to any contoured surface. This mesh is infused with aluminum oxide abrasive, making it a versatile choice for various applications. Aluminum oxide discs are known for their fast cutting ability, as well as their effectiveness in blending and deburring tasks. These discs are particularly suitable for use on ferrous metals and composites. With a premium grain that boasts higher fracture strength, the mineral in these discs breaks down and renews more easily. They are available in a range of grades, from Very Fine to Coarse.

Strong Backing for Better Performance

To achieve optimal results, it is highly recommended to use a Standard Abrasives brand holder pad in conjunction with the surface conditioning discs. Tests have demonstrated that when used with the Standard Abrasives holder pad, these discs exhibit superior durability and performance. Additionally, the holder pad ensures even pressure distribution across the entire disc, including the edges, for consistent and efficient results.
