    The transparency doesn't indicate thinness! This premium grade polyester film series with excellent chemical and thermal stability to work great as an industrial masking, composite bonding films. The thickness measurement comes out to be .0019 inches or 48 microns.

  5. Can I buy it in smaller quantities than a full case?

An Aggressive and Permanent Hold

3M™ Polyester Film Tape 850 is a high-strength tape that is commonly used for splicing and web applications. The backing is made of a thin, abrasion-resistant polyester that helps to reduce splice failures and withstands rough handling and web processing. The tape is coated with an aggressive pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive that provides a strong hold upon contact. It meets low-caliper requirements to ensure it won't interfere with most machinery. The tape can withstand a wide temperature range from -60°F/-50°C to 300°F/150°C.
