3M Tape 62 is a 4 mil thick, PTFE film backing, electrical tape. This printable tape is suitable for use on high temperature coils, wire harnesses and capacitors. The thermosetting, silicone adhesive on the flame retardant tape offers optimized adherence in areas of high ambient temperatures. This tape withstands a temperature range of 32 to 356 F (0 to 180 C).

3M™ Tape 62 features a bondable backside that offers exceptional adhesion to its own backing material, ensuring a secure and reliable bond. Additionally, this PTFE tape provides improved bonding of resins and varnishes, making it a versatile choice for various applications.

This tape is similar to Tape 61 but includes a liner, which can be beneficial for die-cutting or automated applications where a liner is required for ease of handling. This tape can find utiltiy in the automotive industry with potential applications such as:

Protective applications:Where a non-stick surface is required to prevent the buildup of adhesive or other materials.
