3M OEM Match Wide Stream Tips help technicians replicate the appearance of wide or flat seam sealers that were robotically applied at the OEM factory. Used with one-part (1K) and two-part (2K) seam sealers, the tip can be trimmed to control the bead width.

  • Available in two styles, they fit a wide variety of 1-part (1K) and 2-part (2K) one-part and two-part seam urethane, MSP, and epoxy seam sealers.
  • Width, texture, and height of the bead can be controlled by trimming the nozzle and adjusting air pressure during application.
  • The 1K version threads directly onto 3M aluminum cartridges while the 2K option friction fits to square-tube applicator and mixing nozzles.
  • Notched in one-quarter-inch increments, the tip is easy to trim to widths from .4 to 1.4 inches (6 mm to 36 mm)
  • Built for single-use with no cleanup required.

3M OEM Match Wide Stream Tips

3M OEM Match Wide Stream Tips are specifically designed to assist technicians in repairing flat or tapered seam sealer applications. These tips come in separate versions for both one-part and two-part sealants, and are compatible with urethane, MSP, and epoxy seam sealers. Their purpose is to help technicians achieve a precise match in terms of size, shape, positioning, and texture when working with robotically-applied OEM seam sealers.

The threaded 1K tip allows for easy installation without the need for any special tools. It can be used with any 3M aluminum seam sealer cartridge. On the other hand, the 2K version is designed to attach effortlessly to square-barreled 3M Static Mixing Nozzles and 1K Sausage pack nozzles.

By trimming the nozzle and adjusting air pressure during application, technicians have full control over the width, texture, and height of the beads. This level of control is crucial when OEMs require technicians to replicate the original look and appearance of factory-applied seam sealer. However, replicating robotically applied seam sealer can be a challenging and time-consuming task.
