Tough Abrasive, Smooth Results

The 3M Xtract Film Disc 375L is a high-quality abrasive disc that delivers a durable and flexible finish. It is designed to provide outstanding tear resistance and consistent results on a variety of substrates. With a range of grades available, this disc can meet the specific needs of different users.

For demanding industrial applications, the 3M Hookit Clean Sanding Film Disc 375L in coarse grades is the ideal choice. It offers a superior finish and is highly effective in woodworking applications where creating the perfect surface for accepting the final finish is crucial. The medium grades of the 375L disc are designed to contour to challenging work surfaces, delivering excellent results. The load-resistant coating extends the life of the abrasive, making it a reliable choice for woodworking and other applications where loading can hinder performance. In paint finishing applications, the 375L disc is specifically designed to deliver a superb, uniform finish on plastics and clear coat technologies commonly used in the transportation industry.

The open coat construction of the 3M Xtract Film Disc 375L reduces the likelihood of loading, providing a more aggressive cut compared to a comparable closed coat mineral of the same grade. The load-resistant coating also reduces clogging, making it an excellent choice for woodworking and other applications where loading can hinder performance. The disc is resin-bonded for reliable performance under high heat and pressure.

The open coat construction of the 375L disc ensures that the abrasive grains are spaced apart, allowing for the evacuation of sawdust and other sanding debris. This prevents clogging and maintains the cutting edge of the grains. The load-resistant coating also allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding soft woods, paints, and other materials that would otherwise clog and hinder sanding ability. The open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut compared to a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, resulting in increased productivity and reduced material consumption.

The Benefits of Film Backing

The film backing of the 3M Xtract Film Disc 375L offers superb tear resistance and a consistent finish. This makes it an excellent option for a wide range of applications, including paint, e-coats, primers, gel coats, glass, acrylics, wood, and solid surface materials. Whether you need a perfect finish every time, film backing is the best choice.

The Hookit Advantage

The 3M Hookit hook-and-loop feature makes disc attachment, removal, and re-attachment easy. This facilitates the use and re-use of the disc throughout its abrasive life. The Hookit disc pads have J-shaped hooks that are commonly used in everyday hook-and-loop applications. These disc pads grip the brushed nylon loop backings of Hookit discs and provide a finer finish compared to adhesive-backed discs. The Hookit system is designed for workspaces where adhesive-backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris. The disc pad can also be used with hook-and-loop discs from other manufacturers.
