It can be used for various applications such as intermediate blending, deburring, finishing, and cleaning on stainless steel, carbon steel, titanium, and nickel alloys. All Scotch-Brite SL Surface Conditioning Rolls utilize aluminum oxide mineral, but they vary in grade: Super Duty (SD), Heavy Duty (HD), Coarse (CRS), and Medium (MED).

A Responsive Roll

This Scotch-Brite roll is made by combining non-woven nylon fibers and mineral with resin. The inclusion of non-woven nylon fibers, which are springy and responsive, along with mineral, allows for achieving a great finish or removing burrs without gouging or undercutting the workpiece. Additionally, a woven fabric (scrim) is embedded in the nylon structure to provide additional strength and durability for edge work.
