Scotch Tape 70 is a 12 mil thick, premium grade, electrical tape with silicone rubber backing. This tape is used as a base tape layer for easy re enter connections. It withstands temperatures up to 356 F (180 C).
- Provides protection from weather conditions, UV exposure, and is workable at extremely low temps
- High dielectric strength (high voltage use)
- Class “H” temperature rated based on silicone material properties 356F (180C)
- Apply in half-lapped layers using moderate tension and apply last lap with zero stretch
- Can be applied over exposed cable insulation or end seal used with molded (slip-on) stress cones
